Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy and National Poet of Wales Gillian Clarke each wrote a poem to commemorate the funerals of Harry Patch and Henry Allingham.

I love both of them. Very fitting. I can’t say much more.

I’ll just link you to them rather than re-type them. Also you can hear them spoken by the authors there.
