This is going to be a weekly thing where I delve into my collection of photographs to bring you a suitably charming or random picture, appropriately, every Thursday.

To start, I bring you that famous brand You’d Butter Believe It!

Don’t ask questions, just admire the pure random brilliance.

Because the author is a friend of the family down south, and apparently he’s had quite a life.

Here’s the blurb:

A six-year-old ‘city urchin’ evacuated during Hitler’s war to the Yorkshire Wolds in 1939, William Evans joined the Royal Navy, due to conscription, in 1950. Rising to the rank of Chief Petty Officer, he achieved his life’s ambition when he was appointed to the Royal Yacht Britannia in October 1959. But he only managed one brief cruise of the Caribbean before being whisked off by Lord Mountbatten, then Chief of the UK Defence Staff, to head his Naval Retinue after the death of Lady Louis in Burma.

He’s such a lovely gent, never got paid much for his services because of the lifestyle, friendly, always turns up when there’s food about apparently.

A bit of an obscure read this time. Animal Farm was great by the way.

Yorkshire born, Yorkshire bred.

I quite like my home county, well doesn’t everyone.

Anyway, this is Wrynside, a tiny little mountain which me and me dad climbed t’other weekend. It’s proper Yorkshire like.

I could easily have said no, and not gone, but I didn’t.

The libertines at full volume, wine, cheap cider, smell of cigerettes, good company, new friends, whiskey, mess, arguments, tobacco, random bed, no sleep, pub, pool, hangover, complaints from neighbours, drugs, drunken kisses, gossip, falling over, old friends, waking up dressed, guitar, dressing gown blanket, stealing drinks, sharing single beds, hugs, walking home in the morning, headache, taste of alcohol on your lips, missed phone calls,

Being teenage again.

Who’s this? Remind you of someone?

Awesome model-making skills by Wilfrid Wood.

And no, it’s not me, but he is from Yorkshire.

Well, there he is. bet that doesn’t help much though.

Uncanny resemblence for a plastacine model I think.

Well, time up. If you didn’t get it, it’s Alex Turner of the Artic Monkeys.

We’ve gone up in the world and we drank a bottle of champagne. It’s the weekly wednesday wine binge now, every wednesday night after the pub quiz.

Also, under the influence of alcohol, I spilt a lot of secrets. meh.

If I had any photos I’d put them up, but I don’t.
