I have no photos of her, nothing written, no souvineers. Only what I can remember and an empty wine bottle. This song is a constant reminder.

Amazing, and I was there! But alas I forgot my camera. Probably just as well, it would’ve got wrecked.

Bit of a guitar-heavy playlist for you, because it’s 2:39am and I’m bored.

Guided By Voices – Game Of Pricks

Eddie Current Suppression Ring – Which Way To Go

Miles Anthony Benjamin Robinson – Woodfriend

The Soft Pack – C’mon

The View – Five Rebeccas

The Pigeon Detectives – Don’t Know How To Say Goodbye

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Spread Your Love

The White Stripes – Fell In Love With A Girl (Also an awesome video)

Hope you find something you like!

But if any of these stick in your head, it will be this:

The Go Team – Milk Crisis

From The Basement

From The Basement is a website featuring rather intimate live sessions by bands without the usual constraints and hassles of doing promotional work. The only advertising is for the band and it’s like a breath of fresh air. From the website;

“My own personal goal is that in the future some of these performances might be seen as the truest representation of the state of their artists work, captured in a way that lets their talents speak without the interference of presenters, or audiences.”

There’s some really great bands on there, and really good recordings. My recommended videos are

The Kills – Tape Song (Look look look she’s gorgeous)

Neil Hannon – Our Mutual Friend (He used to be a choir boy you know)

Radiohead- The Gloaming (Thom Yorke piloting a spaceship)

Jarvis Cocker – Black Magic (For his dancing)

I’ve changed my mind

I used to think Florence (I presume her name is Florence) from Florence and the Machine was a bit nice. I have since changed my mind.

She now looks terrifying and a bit manly. Where are all the folk-y dresses and so on? The band isn’t as good as I thought they were either.

I saw this band last night.

They were great, basically. Not much of a review, Alison was gorgeous as usual.

The song selection wasn’t fantastic, but then again they have only one album. Really good band though.

And I thought it was pretty good. Video isn’t bad either.
